Your SSPGC Board has been hard at work the past year. We have sponsored the Annual South Sound Philanthropy Summit with the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as well as presented 5 formal programs at the La Quinta Inn & Suites, Tacoma and 5 Free Brown Bag lunch sessions at various locations within Pierce County.  All have tapped the talented members of SSPGC or specialists in the community.  If you attended, I'm sure you'll agree that we assembled some wonderful luncheon panels of local experienced professionals who covered varied topics from viewpoints that are both educational and timely for our profession.
PLUS we featured the Nationally Recognized Expert Russell James, PhD, JD, CFP to feature his new and timely research.

We hope that you will be able to attend our 2019 South Sound Philanthropy Summit on  Friday, September 27th at the Elks' Event Center at Allenmore Golf Club.

Please consider joining us as full members this year to continue to make our organization stronger and more responsive to your needs in the area of gift planning.

Benefits of membership include:

1. Membership Luncheons with timely topics held at La Quinta Inn & Suites, Tacoma
     Members pay $20 – Non-member fee is $30

2. Free Brown-bag-lunch discussions and Panels with local professionals who bring updated information
and valuable insights, education, and training to the Planned Giving community in the South Sound.

3. SSPGC and AFPSS together present the South Sound Philanthropy Summit, a full-day conference with national speakers.
It returns for a Eighth year in September 2019!

4. Opportunities to meet colleagues and create lasting professional relationships with both planned giving officers and professionals in allied professions that all work together to create successful donor experiences.

5. The opportunity to learn from and teach each other as well as lead the organization in its quest to provide pertinent programs for its members. Help the general level of knowledge in our community and lend your expertise to conversations/presentations.

6. Reciprocal membership privileges with Washington Planned Giving Council in Seattle - WPGC member luncheon pricing as well as member pricing to their Conferences (and our member prices are reciprocated to their members) - Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFPSS) members receive a $25 reduction from the regular $75 Membership Fee for dual membership.

There are many more benefits to this Council - we truly hope you will join us again in 2018 in making the South Sound Planned Giving Council, an organization that is responsive and relevant to the professional and educational needs of this growing and vital giving method called Planned Giving.
